Jewelry Care

14k gold-filled wire has a thick layer of gold that is pressure-bonded to a brass core. Gold-filled materials have at least a hundred times more gold on its surface than gold-plating. This makes them much more tarnish-resistant and safe for sensitive skin.

Sterling silver will naturally darken over time due to oxidization and can be cleaned with a polishing cloth (included - use until both sides are completely darkened, then discard). The silver wire used is nickel-free. Wearing silver jewelry often is the best way to keep it shiny as the natural friction on skin helps keep it polished.

If treated well, both 14k gold-filled and sterling silver are precious metals that can last a lifetime. Materials are sourced with sustainability in mind. Raw wires are manufactured in the U.S. and every piece is made to order from start to finish in my studio. Jewelry comes in 100% recycled/recyclable packaging.

Most of the stones used are natural gemstones which means they will likely have variations in color and pattern. Stones must be handled with care to avoid damage and cannot be used with commercial cleaning agents or ultrasonic devices. Learn more about the gemstones used here.

Pieces can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap if needed, then pat dry with a soft cloth. Avoid contact with excess moisture, chlorine, steam, salt water, perfume, lotions, and harsh chemicals. Store in the included bag and/or box for extra protection.

All earrings come with 14k gold-filled or sterling silver locking clutches that provide an extremely secure grip. They make an audible "click" when in place. Please feel free to contact me if you ever need replacements!
